Job begins May 25th. Paid training 3 hours May 18th. We are seeking Summer students to work as Animal Attendants on join our team! You will be responsible for the overall care and well-being of the animals at our facility.
Clients book private 30 minute encounters with our mini cows and mini fainting goats. You will be supervising and facilitating these sessions.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise clients with animals ensuring safety of animals and clients
- Offer education to clients about the animals
- Review safety rules and enforce with clients in a confident and cooperative manner
- Handle general care tasks such as feeding and grooming of the animals
- Assist in restraining animals for veterinary management when necessary
- Keep records of animal feedings, treatments, and other updates
- Engage in play activities and exercise with the animals and clients
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment in entertainment area as well as in barns
- Grounds maintenance including gardens
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in animal care or other related fields
- Passion to help and treat animals
- Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with clients of all ages
- Flexible
- Ability to follow a fast paced schedule, keep sessions on time and engaging for clients
