New Afton Mine

Situated 10 kilometers west of picturesque Kamloops, British Columbia, the New Afton Mine is an underground gold and copper producing site.

Kamloops is a city of 90,000 people, located 350 kilometers east of Vancouver. About the Role

Position Reports To : Senior Hydrogeologist

Position Overview : We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Geoscientist / Engineer commencing in January 2026. This position is also open to Geoscientists or Engineers in Training and will report to the Senior Hydrogeologist, and provide assistance to the Environment, Lands and Permitting Team. The position includes a blend of field and office work and will provide exposure to a wide variety of mining and environmental projects. New Afton Mine is an underground mine and comfortability working in an underground setting is an important aspect of the position.

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is between $93,000 and $113,000. A competitive performance bonus plan and benefits will be provided. This is not a camp operation and therefore the successful candidate will be required to relocate to the Kamloops area or travel and accommodation will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
