About the Faculty and Department

The Department of Labour Studies at Brock University is a multidisciplinary unit housed in the Faculty of Social Sciences.

The Department boasts award-winning teachers and researchers and is home to the only Labour Studies co-op program in Ontario.

The Department of Labour Studies invites applications for a 12-month instructional limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The appointment, subject to budgetary approval, will commence July 1, .

The successful candidate will be well-qualified to effectively teach a range of labour studies courses and contribute to the department through service and research.

The teaching load for this position is 4.0 credits, normally distributed as four half credits in fall term and four half credits in winter term.

• LABR 2P90 The Labour of Sport (online); LABR 2P97 Work, Labour, and Film; LABR 2Q92 Work, Equity and Diversity; LABR 2Q94 Class, Country Music, and Social Change;
• LABR 2Q96 Labour and Health (online); LABR 3P90 Collective Bargaining; LABR 3P91 Labour Studies Theory and Methods; LABR 3P94 Psychology of Work (online);
• LABR 3Q96 Children and Youth at Work (online); LABR 3Q93 Labour in a Global and Comparative Perspective (online); LABR 3Q97 Public Sector Unions;
