Based at our project in Northern , this will be a 3 week on / 3 week off rotation opportunity
Responsibilities :
The Electrician is responsible and accountable for the following :
- Strictly adhere to all legislated regulations, including the BC Mines Act, as well as company Health & Safety policies to ensure safe work practices and uphold Health & Safety as the top priority.
- Comply with all site-specific and underground policies and procedures to maintain operational integrity and safety standards.
- Interpret and use appropriate sections of the current Ontario Electrical Safety Code
- Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to carry out assigned tasks
- Use test equipment to evaluate new, repaired, in-service and stored equipment using manufacturers recommendations and safety precautions
- Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical systems and replace faulty parts
- Troubleshoot failures and perform necessary repairs
- Perform periodic tasks and inspections of equipment and systems to observe operating conditions and determine what is needed for repair or adjustments
- Execute preventative maintenance activities including trouble shooting and repairs to all equipment in a timely manner
- Work in a safe productive manner to maximize quality, efficiency and availability while minimizing maintenance cost and unscheduled downtime
Qualifications / Requirements :
Journeyperson level qualification (trade school or college diploma) – (preferred).Provincially regulated Common Core.Minimum 3 years underground mining experience.Strong problem-solving skills related to troubleshooting equipment issues.Previous experience of using computer software applicable to maintenance operations.Communicates effectively when receiving or delivering verbal instructions, contributing to safe and efficient completion of assigned duties.Participate in daily toolbox meetings and “welcome back” sessions upon returning to site to ensure alignment with safety protocols and operational updates.Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliable attendance, punctuality, and an unwavering commitment to safety. Applicants must meet all legislated requirements for air travel to work at the remote site camp. You will be required to work both dayshift and nightshift as part of the rotational schedule 21 days on site, 21 days off site. For this safety sensitive position, you will be required to undergo a background check and be required to undergo a substance test and pre-employment testing.
What we offer :
Competitive annual salary ranging between $130,000 - $150,000 based on experience and qualifications.
