Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Engineer focusing on Drilling& Workover Operations to join the This Company Loss Preventionorganization (LP) which is the corporate safety organization withinThis Company.

We provide both daytoday infield occupational andprocess safety support to This Company operations as well ascentralized technical support and consulting function.

Our fieldoffices are located in Abqaiq Riyadh Ras Tanura Dhahran UdhailiyahJeddah (including Yanbu and Jazan) and Tanajib.

Through theseoffices LP provides its services to all This Company facilities anddepartments that are located throughout the Kingdom.

The primary role as a Safety Engineer (Loss PreventionEngineer) is to is to provide daily support to upstreamorganizations to provide field and office safety support to managesafety in petroleum engineering exploration drilling and workoverrelated activities including unconventional resources and seismicoperations.

Responsibilities :

• Facilitating the implementation of the ThisCompany Safety Management System along with its objectives andexpectations including developing associated safety processes andparticipating in selfassessments.
• Inspectingonshore and offshore drilling rigs workover equipment and othersupport facilities with indepth knowledge of well control equipmentand procedures obtained through attending Basic Well ControlSchool.
• Identifying evaluating recommendingactions and following up on critical safety tasks and controlmethodologies related to operational safety practices such as workat height isolation / LOTO permit to work hydrogen sulfide confinedspace entry and excavations.
• Participating insafety studies and activities using risk assessment and mitigationmethodologies such as PHAs HAZOPs JSAs incident investigationscompliance reviews or insurance surveys.
• Developing and / or reviewing corporate safety standardsinstructions and procedures related to upstream operationsformalizing them into companydocumented practices asrequired.
• Reviewing designs of oil and gasfield facilities for compliance with company and industry safetystandards.
• Assisting in the development ofEmergency Response Plans for credible scenarios with a workingknowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) and attendingemergency drills as an observer to provide feedback.
• Responding to emergency situations and incidentsproviding technical assistance and advice during or after regularworking hours.
• Supporting the reportingclassification and investigation of all incidents participating inincident investigations to determine root causes and making properrecommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Delivering Loss Preventionspecific training to employeescontractors and outside parties.
• Mentoringother Loss Prevention personnel.

Requirements :

• his role required candidate topermanently relocate at Dhahran SaudiArabia.
• A bachelors degree inany engineering discipline from an AccreditedInstitution.
• Seven years of relevantexperience in the oil and gas upstream industry with a strong trackrecord of delivering results.
• Experience invarious areas including drilling and workover operations wellplanning and approval reservoir management geology and geophysicsproject management for upstream facilities development oil and gasfield development simultaneous operations (SIMPOS) between upstreamand construction / downstream operations offshore and onshoredrilling rig safety inspections managerial audits / assessments andsafety program and emergency response plans development.
• Excellent communication skills in English capable ofeffectively communicating with peers and management.
• Ability to produce clear and concise oral and writtenreports in English.
