Senior Analyst, Investment Risk

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our fast-growing Investment Risk team to tackle new challenges in a continuous improvement environment.
As a member of the Investment Risk team, you will be contributing to the running, development, and maintenance of asset-liability, market, credit and liquidity investment risk models and reports covering General, Pension and Investment Funds.
Your work will ultimately be used to support the business and management in strategic decision-making. Additionally, you will be assisting in the build-out of our systems infrastructure to improve efficiency, automation, and insight-driven analysis.
More specifically, you will
- Run and improve efficiency of investment risk processes.
- Maintain and develop investment risk models.
- Design, specify, and support implementation of detailed risk reports and analysis consistent with the investment policy and other investment-risk-related policies.
- Analyze risk metrics and provide insights to the team and our partners.
- Contribute to a variety of complex strategic projects, mandates, and activities.
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of risk management frameworks.
- Implement risk management processes based on industry best practices.
Job requirements
- University degree in finance, actuarial science, or other related quantitative discipline.
- 3-5 years of work experience related to investment risk, actuarial science or investments.
- Strong programming skills (Python, SAS, SQL, and / or R).
- Good knowledge of financial and insurance products.
- Knowledge of investment risk concepts and presentation of complex data.
- Excellent communication skills both in French and in English
- Experience with an investment risk system, or an actuarial system (an asset).
- ASA, AICA, FICA or CFA certification (an asset).
