The has partnered with our client, it is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. We design, manufacture and market electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems.
The primary end markets for their products are communications and information processing markets, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication and information processing systems;
aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications.
What you will be doing
As the new ERP Project Manager, you will report to the Senior Manager and be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan.
The Project Manager will also define the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. This role will be primarily involved with the delivery of projects supporting their Global ERP system QAD and ancillary application systems.
Practically speaking you will :
Planning
- Ensure all change initiatives under this team are appropriately planned, executed and progress monitored utilizing effective project delivery tools
- Develop program and project plans
- Manage issues and risk logs
- Manage project staff, some of which are not accountable to the Project Manager
- Track, monitor and communicate programs or project progress against plan, requirement, quality measures, standard processes and milestone.
- Ensure effective project governance structures are in place to support project reporting and communications to project team and stakeholders
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day planning, management and assignment of project team resources including the management of resource conflicts and prioritization of work for initiatives undertaken by the Corporate Systems function
- Lead and facilitates the prioritization of project tasks and funding approval with impacted stakeholders and the Finance Portfolio Management group
Financial Responsibilities
- Develop project plans and budgets with time and cost estimates
- Report on financials with respect to actuals, commitments and variances on assigned project
- Manage and oversee the project budget
- Provide updates to the Change and Delivery manager, IS senior management, and stakeholders on status project financials and variances
- Ensure adherence to Company’s capitalization guidelines to effectively manage project spend.
- Work closely with Finance teams to ensure project closures for depreciation purposes, contract enablement and maintenance and procurement of vendor services as needed to support initiatives
Operational Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of projects and programs using a team of resources including solution architects, functional and technical subject matter experts and business experts
- Responsible for project team to ensure delivery of approved projects
- Maintain and promote adherence to standards in the delivery of projects and programs using accepted methodologies including PDLC (Project Delivery Lifecycle) and capitalization guidelines
- Drive best practice, co-ordinate and facilitate deep dives, monitor risks, issues and the use of resources (time, cost, third parties and colleagues)
- Oversee the preparation of both technical and non-technical documentation related to project and solution architecture deliverables
Stakeholders
- Act as a consultant to business areas on integration impacts and or opportunities to SAP
- Communicate with clients and project team in diagnosing and resolving any system issues or problems and questions
- Manage an appropriate range of stakeholder relationships
- Maintain a deep understanding of the needs of stakeholders to ensure all activity delivers greatest value and is realized by the business
- Set up and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders by effectively managing expectations, and inspiring confidence in delivery
- Appreciate the broad IS and commercial perspective and understands how IS fits and contributes within the business
- Ensure team thrives on change and inspire colleagues to embrace and embed new ways of working

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education / experience in business administration, human resources, information systems, or accounting from an accredited institution
- At least 7 years of project management experience with a focus on ERP system implementations
- Proven expertise in managing system implementation partners and vendors effectively
- Strong ability to interpret business requirements and utilize tools to meet objectives
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with individuals across all organizational levels, both internally and externally
- Proven capability to efficiently plan and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- In-depth knowledge of business system enhancement and modification methodologies
- Exceptional analytical skills with keen attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse and geographically dispersed team
