Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate extrusion machines to produce high-quality products
- Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure proper product specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to keep them in optimal condition
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
- Inspect finished products for quality and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Documents work performed as required
Requirements :
- Previous experience as an extrusion operator - at least 3 to 5 years.
- Knowledge of calipers, lathes, and other machining tools
- Ability to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment is an asset
- Familiarity with logic controllers and basic programming concepts
- Proficient in using hand tools for assembly and disassembly tasks
- Strong mathematical skills for performing basic calculations
- Experience with CNC machines is a plus
- Ability to use measuring equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced manufacturing environment with frequently changing dynamics
- Able to work in 12 hr continental day / night shift
