Project Manager – Interconnection

Responsibilities

Manage the interconnection process from utility studies completion to commercial operation within the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) lifecycle.

Coordinate with Boralex Interconnection Engineering to review plan sets and ensure EPC contractor plans meet utility requirements.

Act as the primary liaison between EPC contractors, utilities, ISOs and other stakeholders during execution.

Maintain documentation and communications related to interconnection.

Conduct site visits and report on interconnection‑specific issues.

Track utility scope, schedules and interconnection deadlines.

Manage testing, commissioning and commissioning of the interconnection facility.

Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with utilities and ISOs.

Oversee utility easements, encroachments, metering and telecommunications services.

Lead the interconnection process from agreement through engineering, construction, commissioning and commercial operation.

Support Boralex Interconnection Engineering and EPC engineering teams in reviewing project documents to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Travel 25% within North America.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with training or experience in interconnection management.

More than 5 years of experience managing interconnection processes in Canadian energy markets.

Experience in major renewable energy project development (asset).

Strong analytical, decision‑making, prioritization and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork abilities.
