Analytical Chemistry Lab Technician - Mississauga, ON

Job Summary

The Analytical Chemistry Lab Technician will work with the team to analyze water samples and products for Hydro International.

Analytical Chemistry Lab :

• Perform routine laboratory tests and analyses using various analytical instruments and techniques, including but not limited to spectrophotometry, colorimetry, and titration.
• Prepare and standardize chemical solutions, reagents, and samples according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate records of experimental data, observations, and results.
• Assist in the calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

Candidate Qualifications :

• Post-secondary laboratory science Chemical technologist diploma, or equivalent.
• Previous laboratory experience or coursework in analytical chemistry and / or hydraulics laboratory. Experience with inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis is an asset.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and instrumentation, including troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing priorities and tasks.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
