POSITION SUMMARY

The Student Programs Officer (SPO) of the Nova Scotia International Student Program is responsible for in-province programs and services for international and Nova Scotian students, including the Ambassador Program, student FAM tours, and the NSISP Summer Conference. In addition, the SPO is responsible for promoting ancillary programs and works closely with NSISP partners and RCE / CSAP to organize and facilitate these programs before student arrival. The SPO reports directly to the Assistant Executive Director of the NSISP.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree and / or College Diploma in a related field;
• A minimum of one year of recent and related experience in student programming;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Current Nova Scotia driver’s license;
• Experience in youth or international programs, experience using databases, and fluency in other languages are considered assets.
