Product Specialist - Auto
Position Details
What You Will Do
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure development, implementation, and continued improvement of insurance products
Participate in development of product, policy wording / insurance materials, distribution channels and marketing plans
Act as project leader, for small projects, and monitor execution of project activities to meet implementation schedules;
maintain detailed documentation
Gather and maintain competitive and market intelligence materials
Act as SME in Insurance products and services primarily for the auto lines of business, acting as key point of contact
Analyze industry trends as they relate to Insurance products and services
Conduct needs analysis to identify / analyze key target markets, local marketing initiatives and any ad hoc or niche marketing opportunity / requirements. Create product roadmap
Coordinate and assist end-to-end implementation for approved product initiatives
Assist with formal presentations to business units, key stakeholders, Insurer(s) and / or Echelon management
Research and identify opportunities to increase awareness of products / services, including participation in industry events
Develop and maintain an effective communication process in conjunction with various departments, including up-dated product information on intranet, internet, and broker portal / resource site
Provide support and assistance to members utilizing Echelon products and tools, primarily for the various auto lines of business
Conduct sales, marketing, product health monitoring, financial reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis and provide results to Product Manager, Insurer(s) and key stakeholders
Responsible for maintaining reports, invoices, product health dashboards and financial reports
Provide underwriting direction, guidelines, and interpretation
Assist in developing and delivery of information for training and production to home office and external distribution
Provide direction to vendors providing Echelon products and tools, such as Telematics
Who You Are
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in quantitative field, or Insurance
5 years related experience
Knowledge of P&C insurance and regulatory environment
Ability to plan, organize and manage several projects at one time
Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI)
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to explain complex concepts in simple manner
CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional) Designation preferred
