Role Responsibilities :
Manage and oversee operations of the Service department, monitoring scheduling, quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.Provide coaching and guidance to Service Technicians, Coordinators, Writers, and Lead Hands.Maintain facility oversight, identifying deficiencies or repairs and recommending to Management.Create and implement process improvements to maximize efficiency and profitability.Schedule or conduct training sessions for the Service team as required.Monitor employee performance, provide effective feedback, and implement development plans.Monitor KPIs for the department, reporting variances to Management.Conduct regular team meetings to review successes, opportunities for improvement, health and safety, and process updates.Review workload / resources and recommend changes to Management if necessary.Participate in recruiting and onboarding for new Service employees.Assist with technical work in the shop or field as required.Effectively problem‑solve customer concerns or issues.Visit customers frequently to maintain accounts and drive new business.Provide strategic recommendations to Management for business growth opportunities.Provide technical expertise, demonstrations, and training to customers as required.Review customer accounts with accounting to ensure timely billing and payment.Stay current on industry changes impacting Service or customers and communicate applicable information.Communicate with Sales and Parts departments to ensure optimal customer experience.Participate in training and industry events as required.Position Requirements / Qualifications :
Education / Certification :
Technical College Certificate / Degree (preferred but not mandatory).Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.Must pass a pre‑employment background check.Experience :
3+ years as a Service Manager in heavy, industrial, or agricultural equipment.Strong mechanical expertise with equipment repair processes.Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics and electrical systems.Previous responsibility for a Service P&L and demonstrated ability to achieve results.About You :
