18 Month Term Non-Union Position

Closing Date : January 30, 2026.

Hours of Work : 33.75 hours per week (Full-Time).

Locations : Kenora, Dryden, Red Lake, Fort Frances, Atikokan.

Assignment : Human Resources.

Salary : $69,996 - $93,396 per annum.

Position Summary :

In collaboration with Service Managers and the HR Department, the Training & Communications Coordinator will coordinate, develop, monitor, and implement staff training programs on behalf of the Agency. The Training & Communications Coordinator is also responsible for the development and implementation of the Agency Communication Plan. Duties will also include, but are not limited to, developing and maintaining training platform(s); conducting needs assessments; file maintenance; onboarding and general orientation of staff / students; development of policy & procedures; collaboration with external partners; monitoring social media and managing digital presence to ensure messaging that is consistent with strategic priorities. ThIs position is partially funded by the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund.

Knowledge and Skills Required :

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take initiative and think critically.
  • Excellent business communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable legislation.
  • Fluent in applicable software programs, as well as HRIS / LMIS systems.
  • Fluent in social media with knowledge of Canva and / or other digital creation tools.
  • High level of flexibility with strong interpersonal skills.

Required :

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Communication, Education, or a related field.
  • Three years of related experience.
  • Satisfactory Police Records Check, Internal Records Check and Driver’s Abstract.
  • Some travel within the region required.
