Salary : The salary range for this position is CAD $42.56 - $52.95 / hour

Detailed Overview : Under general direction of the Professional Practice Chief, Physiotherapy, the Physiotherapist assesses, plans, implements, and monitors physiotherapy treatment to patients / residents. Delegates components of treatment to Assistants / Aides. As part of the interdisciplinary team, acts as a resource on issues relating to areas of physiotherapy expertise.

Responsibilities :

• Provides clinical physiotherapy treatment, including assessment, problem identification, setting treatment goals, treatments and re-evaluation of patients / residents and patients in the community.
• Delegates components of treatment to Assistants / Aides by instructing, observing and monitoring treatment provided to ensure quality patient / resident care.
• Promotes awareness of good body mechanics to facility staff, patients / residents and families.
• Maintains patient / resident records, clinical outcome measures and statistical data in accordance with department, facility, and professional standards.
• Participates in development, implementation, and evaluation of the physiotherapy service by providing input and feedback to the Professional Practice Chief, Physiotherapy.
• Participates in interdisciplinary, departmental and professional development to ensure awareness of current developments of evidence based physiotherapy practice.
• Provides instruction, feedback, and supervision to students as required.
• Performs other related duties as required.
