Summary :
As the Key Account Manager, you will serve as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of strategic customer accounts, focusing on both retention and growth.
This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining existing business, identifying new sales opportunities, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
By developing and executing strategic account plans, you will support high levels of customer engagement and satisfaction, meeting customer goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with key clients, driving client retention, satisfaction, and new business development.
Strategic Planning & Growth
Utilize technical tools and data to build business cases for account growth and retention strategies. Create plans that align with both company and customer objectives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Customer Service, Operations, and Management to analyze customer success, identify improvement areas, and support product or process enhancements as needed.
Customer Success & Solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to understand customer goals and performance metrics, delivering solutions that exceed expectations.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare regular sales reports, analyzing past results to forecast future success and identifying trends to inform strategic decisions.
CRM & Customer Activity Management
Manage all customer activities using CRM tools for maximum efficiency, ensuring follow-through on open issues and consistent customer engagement.
Customer Service & Representation
Maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence. Represent the company at industry and networking events with integrity.
Additional Duties
Support various business initiatives as needed.
Performance Metrics
Meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets aligned with company growth goals
Maintaining and expanding current sales levels and new business
Building and sustaining positive client relationships
Responding promptly to customer inquiries
Increasing product technical knowledge
Accurately managing CRM entries for sales activities
Clear and effective communication with internal teams
Qualifications
Experience : 10+ years in Sales or Key Account Management in kitchen and bath decorative hardware industry, with a proven track record of managing and growing customer accounts.
Language Skills : Fully bilingual in French and English, residing in the Ottawa or Montreal regions.
Interpersonal Skills : Dynamic and engaging personality with the ability to influence diverse audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Relationship Focus : Proven ability to build trust, set expectations, and follow through on deliverables.
Business & Analytical Acumen : Strong decision-making, analytical, and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment, with a consultative approach to managing complex client relationships.
Time Management : Ability to balance multiple client projects and internal tasks efficiently.
Drive & Initiative : High level of ambition, motivated by business growth and continuous improvement.
Problem Solving & Negotiation : Strong analytical skills, experience with problem-solving, and skilled in negotiations.
Autonomy : Demonstrated ability to work independently and stay motivated.
Education : Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Technical Skills : Proficient with ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other computer software.
