Senior Dispatcher

Title : Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator / Customer & Carrier Relations

Location : Mississauga, ON

Hours : 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm

Pay Rate : : $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (+ end-of-year bonus based on company performance)

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator / Customer & Carrier Relations will be responsible for the following :

• Communicate with customers, through email and phone to ensure their needs are being looked after.
• Source carriers and negotiate rates
• Manage multiple customer shipments simultaneously
• Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and profitability
• Track brokered loads to ensure timely delivery
• Ensure brokered loads are booked at market-competitive prices
• Ensure scheduling of pickups and deliveries are complete and accurately logged into the system.
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer retention and profitable growth
• Timely responses to all load opportunities with pricing and availability

Skills and Qualifications

This position requires someone with strong problem-solving skills, along with strong planning and organizational skills. They will be focused on achieving expected results and meeting deadlines, so having the ability to multitask will be essential.

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• 3-4 years trucking industry and / or cross-border dispatch experience (required)
• Demonstrated knowledge of the geography of Canada and the United States
• Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
• Demonstrated ability to actively manage multiple, concurrent projects
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations preferred
• Customer centric with a positive attitude and strong people skills
• Good command of customer relationship applications (CRM), Trimble Truck Mate platform and other industry related applications, MS Office (Excel and Word)
