Job Title : Security Assistant Supervisor
Location : Downtown Victoria, BC
Position Type : Full-Time, Permanent
Wage : $23.50 per hour - $24.50 per hour
Schedule : Wednesday to Saturday - 0700 to 1900
Position Overview
Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard Assistant Supervisor to join our team at a high-profile shopping center in downtown Victoria. This retail and tourism hub welcomes millions of guests annually and requires a strong, service-focused security presence.
Reporting directly to the Security Supervisor , the Assistant Supervisor helps coordinate the day-to-day operations of the on-site security team. This role provides guidance to front-line staff, ensures consistent security standards, and plays a vital role in incident response and guest relations.
This position requires eligibility for Reliability Clearance . Applicants must have lived in Canada for a minimum of 5 consecutive years to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Assist in supervising on-site security personnel and daily shift operations
- Serve as acting supervisor when the Security Supervisor is unavailable
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and on-the-job training to security staff
- Help ensure team members meet appearance, conduct, and performance standards
