ABOUT THE ROLE : The Senior Program Manager is a member of HSO’s Products and Strategic Offerings team, reporting to the Director, Standards.
Products and Strategic Offerings, the content development business unit of the Enterprise, creates HSO standards, assessment programs and quality improvement solutions.
HSO standards are evidence-based criteria and guidelines promoting quality and safety in health and social services. These standards serve as the basis for cutting-edge accreditation programs and robust public policies.
This Senior Program Manager role is ideal for a compassionate leader who actively listens, mentors, and engages with their team.

Main Responsibilities :
- Leading the design, co-production, and release of people-centred, evidence-based, high-quality standards in collaboration with the team, subject matter experts, and Technical Committee members.
- Accountable for compliance of standards with the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) and International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) requirements.
- Planning, documenting, and managing defined project requirements and scope, delivered on time and on budget.
- Continuously improving and innovating standards development processes.
- Effective collaboration internally across business units, and externally with national subject matter experts, people with lived experience, policy leaders, and healthcare providers.
Must Have Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in a related field, such as Health Sciences, Health Policy, or Business Administration.
- Clinical experience in a large healthcare organization as a regulated healthcare provider in good standing.
- Progressive leadership experience (5-7 years).
- Standards development and / or accreditation experience (5-7 years).
- Exceptional writing, editing, facilitation, and presentation skills; able to represent the organization and meaningfully interpret standards to internal and external audiences.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of the health and social services legislative, regulatory, policy, research and health system landscape.
Desired Qualifications :
- Project management certification.
- Quality and patient safety certification.
- Certification and experience in public participation and community engagement.
- Experience in environmental scanning and literature appraisal.
- Bilingualism French / English is desirable.
