POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Program Manager, IT / OT, will manage complex projects related to IT and operational technology systems. He / she will leverage their extensive experience and expertise to lead all aspects of project scope, budget, and schedule.
This role requires a deep understanding of IT and OT systems and technologies, project and program management methodologies, and exceptional leadership skills to drive IT / OT projects and achieve strategic objectives.
REPORTING
The Senior Program Manager reports directly to the Senior Director, IT Governance and Planning, and will be assigned to different IT projects.
ResponsIbilities
- Scope OT projects and support the kick-start activities.
- Develop comprehensive project plans for OT initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive right to left project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates, to support project execution.
- Lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive project execution efforts, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and quality standards, while mitigating risks and addressing issues proactively.
- Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, including architects, developers, and operations team to achieve project objectives.
- Facilitate alignment between different project team members and other departments to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work with IT managers to allocate resources effectively to support the project activities, including internal resources, and third-party services.
- Identify risks associated with his / her projects and develop and implement mitigation plans to ensure project success.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, maintaining regular communication and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide timely and transparent updates on project status, risks, and issues to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL Expert, CISSP) preferred.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in project management, with a focus on operational technology and systems type of projects in complex enterprise environments.
- Understanding of both application and IT infrastructure technologies and architectures, including networks, servers, storage, virtualization, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Strong knowledge in project and program management tools and processes
- Good ability to document and communicate in English and French.
