Cloud Support Engineer

We are hiring a Cloud Support Engineer to build a career with Canonical and support the technical needs of customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products. Passion for open source development and technology will allow you to thrive among some of the best people in the industry.

We regularly solve interesting technical problems : triaging complex cloud environment issues, Linux kernel crashes of unprecedented kinds, OS configuration challenges, root‑cause analysis, and delivering expert level support to peers and customers. As we expand rapidly, we seek talented problem‑solvers who are excited about the next generation of Ubuntu solutions.

Location : This is a globally remote role unless otherwise specified.

The role entails

• Investigate customer‑reported issues by researching and escalating as necessary.
• Resolve complex problems across Canonical’s portfolio of products.
• Own support cases and meet SLA expectations to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction.
• Engage with customers through phone, ticketing systems, and remote sessions.
• Participate in a regular weekend working rotation.
• Contribute new knowledge‑base articles and maintain existing ones for shared learning.
• Understand the Ubuntu development process to set realistic fix timelines.
