Corporate Controller
Downtown Van
Our client is a fast-paced, well-established private equity company in downtown Vancouver. They are hiring for a corporate controller to lead the accounting team.
Reporting to the CFO, the Corporate Controller will be a critical part of the management team, responsible for managing the overall corporate accounting operations of the organization.
This position will be a hands-on role, requiring the successful candidate to roll up their sleeves and dive into day-to-day financial operations.
The Corporate Controller will strive to increase efficiencies and continuously improve upon the corporate accounting team.
The person will have a CPA with minimum 5years controllership experience in leading a company with high volume, multiple entities environment, along with solid consolidation experience.
Skills & Qualifications :
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration with a minimum of 10 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years managerial / supervisory experience
CPA designation required
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP current version 18.5.1635(2022)
Proficient in Microsoft suite of products
Excellent technical and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to establish good working relationships, both internally and externally
Communicates strategically and efficiently, both written and verbally.
Manage all aspects of financial accounting, including accounts payable, account reconciliation, intercompany transactions and financial reporting.
Ensure all prom notes are recorded and review monthly loan schedules and interest payments.
Weekly cash flow to CFO
Review quarterly and annual financial reporting to lenders
Approve ADP bi-monthly payroll
Oversee annual audits and / or reviews for all entities
Maintain accounting policies & procedures which includes ensuring that internal controls have been implemented and that internal processes are being followed.
Provide guidance and supervision to the corporate accounting team to ensure accurate, relevant, and timely information and financial data.
Ad hoc projects assigned by Senior Management
