We are seeking a strategic, relationship driven sales professional to join Raute’s North American Sales Team and drive business growth across Canada and the United States. This role is ideal for a true “hunter” who thrives in a long, high-value sales cycle environment and understands that success is built on trust, patience, and deep customer relationships. If you excel at building strategic partnerships, delivering measurable value for customers and have technical working knowledge of wood processing machinery or engineered wood industry — we’d love to hear from you.

  • Advise senior management on prospective business opportunities, maximizing revenue and cost controls.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Excellence teams in Raute North America and Finland to support the development of the annual marketing plan by providing sales targets, forecasts, and relevant sales materials, collateral, and documentation. Develop and analyze market sales reports, sales figures, monthly sales forecasts and quarterly sales reviews.
  • Establish and oversee sales administration that aligns with operational and customer requirements by meticulously maintaining customer accounts, enhancing CRM and supporting comprehensive sales reporting.
  • Prepare sales presentations of products and services tailored to customer's needs and present at meetings.
  • Maintain current information on products, competitors, technology, and fluctuations in market performance.
  • Represent Raute at open houses, trade shows, and build professional relationships in industry groups.
  • Manage and coordinate frequent travel to prospects, clients and operating locations throughout the territory.
  • Aid in resolving any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust.
  • Other duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience effectively selling within the industrial equipment or wood processing machinery industries, or strong working knowledge of processing machinery, ideally in the wood or engineered wood industry.
