Job Description
: We are looking for an Experienced Electronics Technician to join our production operations team in Victoria, BC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics manufacturing, along with proven technical and communications abilities to operate as a skilled technician to produce high quality products.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
- Build, test, troubleshoot, repair and modify developmental and production electronic components, parts, equipment, and systems.
- Assemble final product, experimental circuitry or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
- Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Set up standard test apparatus or devise test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
- Analyze and interpret test data.
- Adjust, calibrate, align, and modify circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance.
- Write technical reports and develop charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determination affecting system design and laboratory procedures.
- Shipping and receiving of products.
- Repairing returned products and reworking new stock.
- Updating and maintaining the RMA system
Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to learn Manufacturing Assembly which requires the following :

Minimum of 5 years Technician experienceGood manual dexterityExcellent fine pitch soldering skillsAbility to work alone as well as a team memberAbility to follow work instructionsSpeak, read and write in EnglishMinimum College certificate in ElectronicsBe able to operate various hand and power tools.Selected applicants will be required to demonstrate their fine pitch soldering skills and understanding of electronics.
