Kamloops Operations, Summer Student

Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state. About the Position

As a Kamloops Operations, Summer Student with Trans Mountain, you’ll have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast‑paced group of Operations Technicians in the Kamloops District. The successful summer student will assist all work disciplines throughout the Kamloops district and provide timely assistance to Field Technicians, increasing the efficiency in completing tasks. This position is based in our Kamloops regional office and will report to the Supervisor Operations, Kamloops District.

May 4, 2026 to August 21, 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate lawn tractors / mowers / weed whackers, assisting with landscaping, fire control, and vegetation management throughout the district boundaries.
• General station maintenance including painting, deficiency review and clean up.
• Pressure washing and cleaning heavy duty equipment (Noxious Weed Control).
• Signage repair at pump stations and / or on the Right of Way.
• Transportation of materials and supplies to and from site, providing support to district Technicians.
• Assist with hazardous waste documentation and removal.
• Re‑coating small sections of pipe identified through the Facility Pipe Inspection work orders.
• Schedule and assist with fleet vehicle maintenance appointments.
• Safety Data Sheet (SDS) inventory control and audit for the district.
• Building maintenance – small project planning and execution.
• Office furniture construction and preparation.
• Assist with Internal / External Audit inspection and preparation.
