Technical Translator (French) / Technical Writer

Job Description :

This position is intended to combine translation duties and technical writing.

• Translates documents from English to French .
• Ability to read and understand the context of mechanical information or will train.
• Revise and proofread existing documents to ensure accuracy.
• Establish and maintain a lexicon of technical terms and standardized grammar.
• Familiar with specialized CAT tools ( Déjà Vu ) and specialized dictionaries (Termium) as references for translating and proofreading French text is an excellent asset to have.
• Research, plan, create and revise technical documents using approved data from multiple sources
• Technical content being created or revised includes : service bulletins, installation instructions, operations and maintenance manuals.

Job Requirements : Qualifications :

Candidate should possess some mechanical knowledge or an expressed interest.
