French translator / Technical Writer

Qualifications:

● College diploma in technical communication; or equivalent experience.

● Good planning, organizational, leadership, interpersonal, analytical, decision making, oral and written communication skills.

● Shall have the ability to perform both individually and as part of a diverse team.

● Consult with subject matter experts and other publication staff on writing and illustration requirements, production schedules, formatting specifications and delivery deadlines.

● Knowledge of desktop translation and publishing software (Déjà Vu, InDesign, Frame Maker, Adobe Acrobat) and familiarity with Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.

● Exceptional research, grammatical and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational and analytical skills.

● Good computer skills. Open to learning new software specific to this role
Candidate should possess some mechanical knowledge or an expressed interest.

● Experience in project management an asset.
