Reporting to the Developments Engineering Senior Manager, the Engineering Student will support the Developments Engineering Team on the execution of project scopes, progression of the formality of project execution in the Atlantic Region and the application of Cenovus guidance (Project Management Environment and Capital Allocation), as well as identification and framing of value opportunities.
This role focuses on the early (planning) stages of Project Management.

What you’ll do
- Supporting the developments engineering team with project deliverables.
- Research related to technology applicable to the local oil and gas industry.
- Key Process : Project Management Environment; Capital Allocation Model.
Who you are
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum qualifications :
- Legally eligible to work in Canada full-time for the duration of your work term and able to produce documentation upon application (e.g., work visa).
- Available to begin work in January 2025.
- Innovative, with a strong desire to learn and the ability to encourage new ways of looking at problems, processes, or solutions.
- Demonstrates collaboration by actively seeking out diverse people and ideas to achieve goals.
- Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
- Flexible to changing work demands and ability to prioritize.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office Products).
- Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Education
Must be enrolled in an Engineering Program (all disciplines will be considered) at an accredited post-secondary institution at the time of the intended work term and returning to full-time studies after the work term OR registered in an accredited post-secondary co-op or internship program for the duration of the work term.
Candidates currently enrolled in either a Masters or Ph.D. program at an accredited post-secondary institution may also be considered.
New graduates are not eligible for student opportunities.
