Philanthropy Data Analyst

Oceana is seeking a Philanthropy Data Analyst to help raise critical funds by optimizing our use of data for major gift, special event, and corporate fundraising.
Using Salesforce, this position will play a critical role in supporting the department’s frontline fundraisers through data management, analysis, and improving the marketing segmentation process.
The Philanthropy Data Analyst will collaborate with multiple departments across Oceana and will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the organization, the quality of the information we use to steward and engage with our loyal supporters, and the progress we make in reaching our fundraising goals for the years to come.
The ideal candidate will be an organized self-starter that possesses a natural curiosity to find answers and solutions while maintaining positive relationships with people around the entire organization.
Using your experience with CRM’s or donor databases you will have ample opportunities to have a positive impact on the work we do and a voice in how we can consistently improve our systems and processes for the betterment of everyone.
Previous experience in fundraising is a plus, but a willingness and desire to learn will be a necessity.
