Responsibilities
- Oversee daily processing activities to meet production and quality targets.
- Assess manpower needs and coordinate the labor force across trimming, and post-harvest functions.
- Monitor product flow from harvest through final packaging and make adjustments as necessary to maintain throughput and quality.
- Ensure accurate ERP and physical inventory transactions are completed, with all documentation properly recorded.
- Track and maintain consumable items, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely reordering.
- Ensure the optimal functioning of equipment and report maintenance or calibration needs promptly.
- Promote and maintain the highest levels of cleanliness across all processing areas.
- Verify all sanitation criteria and Health Canada regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Ensure all product handling follows SOPs, GMP, and company quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to verify product integrity and compliance with safety protocols.
- Supervise processing and packaging staff, fostering accountability, teamwork, and performance.
- Administer onboarding, training, and ongoing development programs for new and existing employees.
- Provide daily direction and feedback to ensure staff understand production goals, SOPs, and safety expectations.
- Maintain documentation and KPI tracking for performance, yield, and efficiency metrics.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and workflow improvement.
- Support SOP revisions, validation, and implementation of new operational procedures.
- Report on daily and weekly production metrics, variances, and corrective actions.
- Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation or support as required.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with cultivation, QA, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure adherence to all workplace health and safety policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong computer skills; specifically, in Excel. Proficient with Microsoft Word.Post harvest processing experience would be ideal.Flexibility to work variable shifts, including weekends.The successful candidate will be expected to receive a background check as part of their employment.Why Rubicon?
