Reporting to the Bakery Production Supervisor, the Bakery Production Associate (Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries) is responsible for supporting the Bakery Production Supervisor producing the assigned products (Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries) based on orders received, control quality, freshness, inventory and wastage.

T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country : 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.

• Produce the correct quantity of assigned products (Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries) based on orders received.
• Perform production duties as assigned for various products (Bread, Cake, Puddings & / or other Pastries), which may include but are not limited to :
• Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing…etc.
• Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards…etc.
• Control fermentation and baking time and monitor the temperature of the cooler and oven
• Decoration of Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries
• Control product (Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries) quality, freshness, inventory level and wastage
• Responsible for the cleanliness, hygiene, equipment and tools maintenance follow up and workplace safety of the production area
• Assist to answer customers’ enquiries
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior(s)
• Accountable, pleasant and is able to take initiative
• Possess knowledge and prior experience in making bakery products (Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries), including but are not limited to :
• Dough mixing, cutting, rolling, laying, forming, filling, shaping, slicing…etc.
• Prepare various fillings such as fruits, meat, paste, custards…etc.
• Control fermentation and baking time and monitor the temperature of the cooler and oven
• Decoration of Bread, Cake & / or other Pastries
• Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety and food safety (Food Safe Certification requires)
• Have a good understanding of tools & equipment relevant to the job
• Good communication skills , able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese & / or Mandarin)
• Good organization, and problem-solving skills
• A good team player
• Flexible to work in various shifts, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, morning and evening hours
