In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) patient and staff safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone; as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.

Reporting to the Supervisor, Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), functions as a member of the Cardiac Catheterizations Electrophysiology and Device Implant teams. In collaboration with a Cardiologist, who specialty involves three aspects of cardiac care : Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab and Device implantation the CVT supports, manages and reports technical monitoring prior, during and post care. The CVT provides technical assistance / support to the programs prior, during and post care.

QUALIFICATIONS : Education, Training And Experience

• Diploma in Cardiovascular Technology; and
• Two years recent related experience; and
• Current registration or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Cardiopulmonary Technologist

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
