Job description

Front Desk Administrator (Temporary Contract)

$19-23 / hour

Hamilton, ON - Onsite

STRIVE is a specialist recruitment firm offering proactive recruitment solutions in the areas of Accounting & Finance, Corporate Administration, Manufacturing Operations, and Technology. We are partnering with a large organization to recruit a Front Desk Administrator. This role is ideal for a friendly, detail‑oriented professional who enjoys being the first point of contact and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of a busy office. This is a temporary opportunity, offering consistency and stability for the right candidate.

Advantages

Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and staff in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Support site procedures by assisting visitors with sign‑in and safety requirements
  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls; take and relay messages as needed
  • Assist with internal events, meetings, and company activities
  • Provide general administrative support to various departments
  • Manage and update the visitor welcome screen
  • Handle photocopying, scanning, and document distribution
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Coordinate catering requests as directed
  • Update logs, track records, and maintain in / out boards
  • Provide daily cafeteria coverage to support scheduled breaks, including handling cash and operating a register as required
  • Requirements Trilogy

  • 1+ years of experience in a reception, administrative, or front‑facing customer service role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills ours phones presence
  • Friendly, approachable, and customer‑focused attitude
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Proven reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Basic computerified proficiency (email, scheduling tools, and general office systems)
  • Willingness to support multiple departments and assist with ad hoc administrative tasks ахәыҷ
