Salary : At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees.

The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to : your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role.

The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range : $115,000 - $135,000 Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Job Overview

Working under minimal supervision and reporting to the Manager, Leadership Development Programs, this senior role supports Wawanesa's success by implementing innovative and practical Leadership Development programs to support and enable our leaders to be at their best.

Working with the People & Culture team and business leaders across the Enterprise, this role will lead the design, development, and implementation of Leadership Programming across the Enterprise.

The role requires an action oriented, natural influencer who is creative in designing, facilitating, and implementing a variety of solutions and programs that accelerate the ability of all Wawanesa Leaders to achieve and sustain a high-performance culture, while differentiating us as a great place to work and build a career.

This role also requires the ability to collaborate across all business units, and translate business needs into leadership development programming solutions and products that drive successful outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create, develop, manage, and implement Leadership Development Programs, products and solutions that build leadership capability to meet our business strategy, people and engagement goals including :
  • Contribute to building the Wawanesa Leadership philosophy in partnership with our senior leaders and integrate Wawanesa's leadership philosophy across all levels of leadership programming
  • Contribute to the design of the overall leadership development strategy and resource requirements for optimal execution
  • Lead the program management, development and delivery of Leadership programming Enterprise-Wide to ensure a strong leadership experience, alignment with our EVP, processes and effective use of technology and vendor management to support leadership development outcomes, including : Leadership Development programming at various levels Support of all leadership development programming where required, including facilitation Ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of annual workshops including Leadership Clinics, Leadership Connect and Master Classes Conduct enterprise level needs assessments or focus groups to inform programming decision.

Support the analysis of succession and talent data to determine assessment and program objectives Collaborate and support of other career programming delivery where required Implement practical strategies, and practices along with determining how best to scale programming and build & sustain new programming to support the full lifecycle of leaders across the organization.

  • Assess program experiences, feedback and data to identify effectiveness of Leadership Development Programming, report on metrics and ROI, make recommendations and adjustments to ensure Programs are achieving desired objectives
  • Establish relationships, partner, and engage with all People & Culture teams and business leaders on strategic priorities to identify strategic programming needs.
  • Ensure transparency and visibility of all Programming available across the Enterprise including the regular communication to the business regarding the quarterly and annual Programming calendar.
  • Manage the organizational relationships with external content and programming agencies, vendors, and education institutions.
  • Manage the resources and appropriate certifications required internally and externally to deliver development programs, courses and workshops
  • Obtain and manage the appropriate certification to facilitate development programs, and support business leaders in running courses and workshops

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in delivering Leadership Development Programs in a large organization
  • Minimum 2 years experience in facilitating sessions for medium to large size groups with the ability to engage diverse audiences at all levels
  • Post-secondary degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Organization Development, HR, business administration, or closely related discipline.

A combination of education, training, and experience deemed equivalent may be considered.

  • Development Dimensions International (DDI) Facilitation Certification and Korn Ferry Styles and Climate certification considered assets.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels and experience of leader.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theories and practices within an organizational context, experience with all learning modalities
  • Solid experience translating business needs into learning priorities and providing value for the organization while collaborating, building partnerships and influencing at all levels.
  • Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently to manage, plan and prioritize work and connect the dots, innovate and pivot quickly.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong technical / technology skills - Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Ability to innovate & pivot quickly
