Journeyman Electrician (Cranes)

Agilus is recruiting for a Journeyman Electrician (Cranes) in the Heavy Equipment Industry in Delta, British Columbia.
As a Journeyman Electrician you will be responsible for conducting on-site electrical, mechanical, structural and control systems troubleshooting to determine cause for equipment malfunction and establish the necessary repairs utilizing visual inspection, test procedures and appropriate test equipment.
A typical day:

• Perform inspections, maintenance and repairs on equipment and hoists at customer locations. Be available “on call” as part of service office rotation and provide after-hours service, as required.
• Perform a general post repair audit prior to completion of work, documenting that all required safety features are functional or documenting deficiencies and attaching a deficiency tag.
• Document findings and make corrective recommendations during the safety review to the customer including a written note of any observed or known safety concerns.
• Consult with customer regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss during the visit recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their productivity. Determine items requiring quotation.

Successful candidates will have:

• Ability to work autonomously and provide great customer care.
• A recognized trade qualification as a Journeyman Electrician, Journeyman Millwright.
• Good driving record and valid drivers license.
• Must possess good computer, written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to work overtime or as required by customer operations.
• Able to work away from home for up to 3 weeks at a time.
• Troubleshooting and repair aptitude.

• $36.00 - $40.00 hourly
