Reporting to the Parts Manager, our Warehouse Technician pick, ship, receive, and maintain inventory , warehouse and yard to provide accurate and timely service to internal and external customers.
This position is based in Fort Frances , ON.
The shift rotation for this position is 5x2.
The hourly rate for this position is $36.61 per hour. Additional premiums may be applicable.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to :
- Responsible for the receiving, and shipping of all parts, part cores, and any service related shipping functions.
- Load and unload, unpack, inspect, moves, store and record the movements and storage locations of materials within the warehouse and as necessary inputs information into various data bases.
- Issue or transfer materials to customer department personnel or other warehouse locations.
- Maintain an updated listing for our current inventory, ensuring that bin locations are accurate.
- Determine appropriate transportation for shipping of goods, prepare bills of lading and ensure proper packaging of goods.
- Perform cycle count functions, investigates and reconciles discrepancies.
- Participate in annual inventory counts.
- Assist the parts counter personnel with the processing of any orders as required.
- Maintain the parts department areas in good order; ensure that all areas are kept clean.
- Forklift operation and maintenance.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years related warehousing experience.
Additional requirements include :
- Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety
- Current forklift certification.
- WHMIS, Fall Arrest, Fire Extinguisher, TDG, First Aid, and Hoisting and Rigging training is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills
- Working knowledge of computers
- Valid Class 5 / G drivers license
