Purpose

The Retail Warehouse Manager assists the General Manager by managing and executing all activities of the two warehouses one for Duty Free and one for Duty Paid in support of the overall operation helps to promote an overall corporate image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of excellent customer service throughout the warehouse operation Manages in bound logistics

transport to third party contacts.

Specific Requirements

  • Protects all company assets in the warehouse including non stock merchandise.
  • Provides a safe and clean environment for warehouse personnel.
  • Recruits and trains warehouse personnel, ensuring all standards are met.
  • Maintain employee attitude and morale by recognizing outstanding performance & service & by motivating & developing staff
  • Schedules warehouse operational hours to accommodate business requirements,organizing team resources to achieve a high replenishment performance
  • Prepare all the delivery orders according to the replenishment system, including preparing the delivery notes and organizing the team to deliver the goods to the shops
  • Prepares accounting entries for all goods received in warehouse, including customs reporting and clearance. Supervises and delegates tasks to warehouse employees.
  • Places stock orders as required.
  • Counts and receives incoming merchandise; reports shortages / overages to vendors in a timely manner, before required deadlines.
  • Arrange damaged products / merchandise returns sent from the shop. Counts and completes all appropriate paperwork for merchandise returns to vendors and updates systems accordingly for supplier credits and returns.
  • Keeps such products in a dedicated space as required.
  • Review the full inventory plan for the warehouse and prepare the staff and the areas to be counted so it is ready for full inventory.
  • Rotation avoid expiring products within the stores and the warehouse
  • Tickets merchandise along with team of Warehouse Associates
  • Responsible for bin and aisle set up and continual structure
  • Assist in protecting company assets through promoting awareness of loss prevention
  • To communicate and coordinate with Country Supply chain and Distribution Center on arrivals of shipments of merchandize and non merchandise items and prepare warehouse to receive these goods.
  • Working with Alberta Liquor Board as needed to coordinate shipment deliver and arrival of goods, Handle alcohol / liquor products.
  • Responsible for coordinating and conducting cycle counts, leading the physical count, ensuring an accurate count & submitting the results in the agreed format to the responsible team.
  • Performs all other responsibilities as directed by the business or leadership team of which the team member is capable of performing.

Experience Required

  • Essential : : 2 to 4 years of previous warehouse experience and experience in logistics procedures. Knowledge of current custom regulations.
  • Proficient in Advanced Level in Excel
  • Must have High School diploma or equivalent. Leadership qualities and demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Good time management skills and problem solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi task. Able to lift and carry merchandise weighing 35 50 lbs frequently throughout a shift.
  • Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with team members in English.
  • Able to communicate and correspond with internal and external parties which includes distribution centers, supply chain, commercial team, Customs and vendors.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
  • Problem solving, intermediate math, motivate and direct a team, interpersonal skills, manage multiple tasks,delegation, effective communication.
  • Trained on an electric pallet jack

Desirable :

  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • SAP experience preferred.
  • BW experience preferred
