Mechanic

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose machinery and components including electrical 12 & 24 Volt, hydraulic, pneumatic, engines, gearbox / drive train, etc.

to resolve moderate problems.

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repair usually requiring component replacement, and adjustment of mechanical / hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic equipment.
• Occasionally perform servicing as directed, including fluid checks, and sample pulling, oil and filter checks, changing lubricants, replacing filters, greasing machine lube points etc.
• Ensure all final verifications specified in work instructions are carried out and complete.
• Accurate and timely submission of reports and technical documenting including service reports.
• Ability to work outdoors in difficult conditions caused by snow, dust, temperature changes, and weather.
• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in accordance with company policy.

Competencies

• You possess 3-5 years experience as a mechanic
• Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical components
• Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, component exchange and repair.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.
• You can effectively communicate detailed information in a clear and concise manner.
• You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone and as part of a team.
• You must have your own set of necessary tools.
• Transportation required*. Please note that our shop is not located on a public transit route and you will be required to provide your own transportation to and from work.
