Heavy Equipment Operator, Dozer - Tailings

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators to join our Tailings Team in a Fly In, Fly Out position.

As a Dozer Operator, you will play a crucial role in performing groundwork within the tailings area of our mine. With provided flights to / from Edmonton / Calgary or bussing from Fort McMurray, along with camp accommodation, you can focus on your work while enjoying a balanced 7 / 7 schedule with 12-hour shifts.

If you have a valid driver's license, CSO or BSO certification, and a minimum of 2000 hours of experience operating a D8+ Dozer, we encourage you to apply.

What would you be doing?

• Operating a Dozer in a tailings cell
• Carrying out groundwork in the tailings area of the mine
• Operate assigned heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures and standards.
• Participate in all safety and culture-strengthening programs.
• Train on new equipment when requested.

Does this sound like you?

• Valid driver's license with 3-year driver's abstract required.
• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or Basic Safety Orientation(BSO).
• A minimum of 2000 hours of experience operating a D8+ is required.
• Open pit mining experience is an asset.
• You will be responsive to customer needs
• High school diploma and post-secondary degree an asset
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
• Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
