Wage : $55.49 (A dual ticket premium will apply where applicable.)

Role Summary :
The Refrigeration Air Conditioning Mechanic (HVAC + R) is responsible for maintenance and repairing HVAC + R systems, as well as responsible for keeping this equipment clean, fixed and maintained for the client.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Critical-thinker, problem-solver
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule
- Assist in the Install of new heating, cooling, refrigeration and ventilation systems
- Inspect current HVAC + R systems for effectiveness and safety
- Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC + R systems to increase longevity
- Troubleshoot current HVAC + R system issues
- Repair damaged HVAC + R systems
- Must be able to work outside under adverse conditions
- Must be comfortable with working at heights
- Must be able to maintain high level of safe work practices at all times
Education & Experience :
- Must hold valid Red Seal Journeyman Refrigeration And Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification B Gas Ticket or A Ticket an asset
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience required (Preferred) as a ticketed journeyman
- Certification through (HRAI) to handle refrigerants required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Valid CSTS, OSSA (Oil Sands Safety Association) orientation if obtained prior to December 31st, 2018. otherwise, Valid CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
- Previous oil sands site experience will be considered an asset
- Good problem-solving skills,
- Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and tactful manner
- Applicants must have the ability to speak, read and write fluently in English
- Ability to pay attention to detail.

- Must currently reside in Canada and be eligible to work in Canada
