Undertake the development of Detailed Design, Drawings, and Engineering Changes in support of the Victoria Class Submarine (VCS) combat sub-systems.Undertake Combat Systems engineering activities in accordance with the Global Engineering Framework.Assist in the design and integration of combat sub-systems within the Victoria Class Submarine.Understand and change system architectures and provide input to system capability upgrade and integration opportunities.Provide support to the System Engineer as directed and contribute to the successful delivery of combat system emergent work projects.Apply knowledge of Defence Standards, Military Specifications and other relevant guiding principles in the design of submarine specific systems.Continually evaluate safety, health, and environmental hazards, and work to identify suitably robust control measures.Apply knowledge of Victoria Class Submarine Combat Systems to deliver engineering sustainment work.Ideal Candidate
Graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution with a degree in Electrical EngineeringRegistration as an Engineer-in-Training with the Professional Engineering Association of the province where their work is being conductedPrevious technologist or relevant engineering experience is an assetYou have a basic understanding of related electrical safety principles.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including writing formal reports, and making presentations.Effective computer skills including the MS Office suite.Demonstrated pragmatic problem-solving skills.You have knowledge of the marine and military environment.You have experience working in a shipyard and knowledge of shipyard safe work practices.You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance.Babcock is committed to promoting a workforce without boundaries.
