ESTIMATOR / PROJECT MANAGER

Hiring for both locations- Warwick, ON & London, ON)

Client has been in the forefront of shaping the face of communities and farms in Southwestern Ontario. They provide high quality site preparation, land development and construction integration services.

Our services are in sand & gravel, recycling, land development, farm / municipal drainage and sewer & watermain.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • We are looking for a team player with solid communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • A driven individual with a passion for the contractor environment
  • Experienced in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills and are committed to building strong business relationships with clients and sub-contractors.
  • Prepare construction estimates based on quotations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Create and track construction project schedules.
  • Visit worksites to monitor progress and maintain communication with the Foreman running the site.
  • Assist in preparation of pre-construction and construction services proposals.
  • Examine and analyze tenders and make recommendations.
  • Follow the company cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
  • Liaise, consult, and communicate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Research and analyze cost data for review and presentation.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures while following OHSA and construction regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Civil Engineering or Construction Management diploma is an asset.
  • Proven experience in estimating within the civil construction industry.
  • Computer skills and software experience including Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with Bid2Win, Heavy Bid, Acumatica, or Maestro is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to details.
  • Knowledge of MTO book 7 Traffic Control Requirements.
  • Experience with hazard assessments and controls in the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
