Position Overview

The RPN provides client care according to the Professional Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario. They play a key role in promoting health, preventing illness, and supporting clients in achieving and maintaining optimal health, particularly in cases where clients are relatively stable and outcomes are predictable.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care : Maintain CNO Standards, evaluate client / family needs, collaborate for safety, provide health education, and perform nursing duties within scope.
• Communication : Report clinical data, inform clients / families about procedures, establish rapport, document care, and serve as a preceptor for students and new staff.
• Other Activities : Conduct chart audits, attend educational sessions, assist physicians, administer medications, perform wound care, and manage IV therapy among other duties.
