Service Desk Technician
MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Service Desk Technician for a contract role with our British Columbia based client.
This role is fully remote and will work on a part time basis of 20 hours per week to start with the potential for fulltime work going forward.
The set hours for the position are 4am PT (7am ET) - 8am PT (11am ET).
Pay Rate : $27.00 to $32.00 / hour
Scope of Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for end users via email, calls, chat or tickets and provide technical assistance and for incoming queries and issues related to services such as email, hosting, connectivity and password resets for a client with multiple locations across Canada and US
- Triage tickets by prioritizing and entering as much detail as possible before escalating to appropriate teams if required
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree, diploma, or equivalent in a related field
- 1-2 years level 1 support
- Windows Operating Systems
- Microsoft Cloud Administration
- Knowledge of networking, routing, firewalls, and security
- Understanding of ITIL Methodologies
- Relevant certifications (CompTiA A+, ITIL Foundation) are an asset
