About UsRiko Passive Homes is a New Brunswick-based builder focused on high-performance, energy-efficient homes designed for comfort, durability, and long-term sustainability. We specialize in Passive House and net-zero-ready construction, combining advanced building science with exceptional craftsmanship.

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and motivated General Carpenter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work on high-performance residential construction projects throughout New Brunswick, contributing to framing, exterior systems, finishing work, and overall site execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to develop expertise in modern building practices and energy-efficient construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, siding, window and door installation, exterior finishes, blocking, backing, and general construction duties.
  • Assist with building envelope detailing and air-sealing practices.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and construction drawings.
  • Maintain high standards for quality control and workmanship.
  • Ensure job site cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with site leads, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Identify and help resolve on-site construction issues efficiently.
  • Assist with material handling, layout, and structural tasks throughout the construction process.
  • Follow company safety policies and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of construction or carpentry experience.
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Experience with framing and exterior finishing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work well within a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation..
  • Experience with high-performance, Passive House, or energy-efficient construction is considered a strong asset.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is a must.
