Job Summary

Thebasic function of this role is to direct activities related tosourcing screening analyzing planning and developing a businessventure or portfolio of ventures including initiation closing andtransition phases.

The role provides highlevel professionalexpertise in the development and management of new businessventures with a scope that includes handling proposals valued up to$500MM or larger.

The individual in thisposition will work under selfdirection and will be responsible fordirecting a staff of 3 to 12 professionals toward predeterminedlongterm objectives.

Responsibilities :

Manages the business developmentprocess from proposal to deal closure including :

• Validating proposals progress through stagegates
• Prioritizing business proposals againstinvestment criteria
• Offering commercial andtechnical solutions to enhance company offerings

Collaborates withinvestors to establish strategic financial and operational goalsand milestones for new ventures.

Reviews investor proposals approves contract payments andmanages variations within authority limits. Acts as the primarycontact for contractors consultants and vendors.

Coordinates with internalstakeholders and subject matter experts (e.g. Law Finance StrategyPlanning etc.) to ensure deal alignment and progression.

Leads business portfolios managesdevelopment of commercial agreements and provides analysis inreviewing legal documents (e.

g. head of terms MoUs costsharing andshareholders agreements product offtake share services etc.).Develops and executes negotiation strategies.

Prepares reviews and presents corporatecommittees and executive briefs.

Provides administrative direction to Business Developmentstaff including job performance appraisals promotionrecommendations and relevant human resources development roles.

Ensures proper documentation is maintained on all business venturedevelopment work.

Requirements :

• Educational Level : Bachelor of Arts (Business and Management) Bachelor of Science(Engineering) or equivalent.
• Minimum Years ofExperience : 12 years.
• License / Certificates : CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) CMA (Certified ManagementAccountant) PMP (Project Management Professional) orsimilar.
• Other Skills / Experience :
• Industry expertise and knowledge of specific businesstransaction and venturing activities such as operational orfinancial carveout commercialization joint venture development andmanagement project development and execution valuation andeconomic / financial modeling business operations and maintenance andstrategy development and execution.
• Expertisein financial analysis of companies and transactionvaluation.
• Focused knowledge and experience inone or more of the following : carveout divestment financialrestructuring or initial public offering (IPO).
• Experience in dealing with local or industryspecific bestpractices as well as regulatory and governmentalmandates.
