The Opportunity
The Opportunity : As a Program Assistant (PA) at SADT, you will play a vital role in supporting program operations and enhancing student and faculty success. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the PA provides high level administrative and operational support to Academic Chairs, program areas, and advising staff. This is an ideal role for a detail-oriented, resourceful, and service-focused individual who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
The Role
- Program and Administrative Support
Provide efficient and effective support to Faculty, Academic Chairs, Associate Deans, such as :
manage meetings : scheduling, preparing documentation, taking minutesassist with onboarding new instructorssend emails to HR for inquiries related to facultyresearch procedures (what to do when X happens)support recruiting efforts (info sessions, open houses, etc.)collaborate on faculty schedules / loading and coordinate program advisory committee effortsorder and distribute course materials and manage inventory for labs and classroomsassist with special activities, in and out of the classroom, including logistics, communication, and liaising with industry partnerssupport data entry and validation of instructor workload information and basic reporting for planning and program quality purposesAssist With Student Related Activities Such As
student issues related to access for faculty to classroomstudent requests related to student-for-a-day, student awards, student accommodationsstudent capstonesSchool-Wide and Operational SupportCoordinate travel and professional development requests in accordance with SAIT policy, including booking and reconciliation of expensesAssist in developing and implementing best practices and processing improvements within the school’s operationsCollaborate with other administrative team members to ensure consistent service and coverage across SADT programsHealth, Safety & Environment (HSE) SupportWork with Operations Manager to maintain HSE documentation and proactively support school level CORE audit requirementsCoordinate HSE committee meetings, track action items, and follow up on compliance requirementsQualifications
RequiredDiploma in Office, Business Administration, or equivalent educationMinimum of 2–4 years’ experience in an administrative or customer service rolePreferredExperience in a post-secondary, government, or digital technology environmentKnowledge of SAIT systems (e.g., Banner, Argos) and familiarity with scheduling or academic administrationSkillsExcellent written and verbal communicationHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsProficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Planner)Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to shifting priorities, and work both independently and collaborativelyJob Details
