Position Overview :

CIMT College is seeking a talented and experienced Course Designer and Developer to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality educational programs that meet the standards set by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities (MCU).

This role requires a deep understanding of curriculum development, instructional design, and compliance with ministry regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

Curriculum Design and Development :

Design and develop diploma and certificate programs in various disciplines, ensuring alignment with MCU standards and industry requirements.

Create engaging course content, including lesson plans, syllabi, assessments, and instructional materials that foster an effective learning environment.

Incorporate diverse learning methodologies, including online, blended, and in-class delivery modes.

Regularly review and update course content to ensure it remains current and relevant.

Compliance and Quality Assurance :

Ensure all courses and programs meet the regulatory requirements of the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.

Develop and implement quality assurance processes to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of course content and delivery.

Collaborate with academic staff to ensure that all instructional materials are accessible, inclusive, and supportive of student success.

Collaboration and Consultation :

Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), faculty, and industry partners to gather insights and ensure course content is accurate and industry-relevant.

Provide guidance and support to faculty on best practices in curriculum delivery and instructional design.

Continuous Improvement :

Analyze student feedback and performance data to identify areas for improvement in course content and delivery.

Stay current with trends in education, instructional design, and technology to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications : Education :

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience :

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in curriculum design and development, preferably within a post-secondary or private career college setting.

Proven track record of developing courses that meet regulatory standards, particularly those of the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.

Experience with various learning management systems (LMS) and educational technologies.

Skills :

Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and curriculum development best practices.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, LMS platforms, and course development software.
