About This Opportunity
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning maintenance activities for all production, facilities, equipment, and buildings at our Richmond plant. The role supports the maintenance team by assigning work orders, managing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, and identifying recurring maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
Review work requests, gather information to order parts and assign work orders, prepare a weekly schedule, and facilitate the weekly planning meeting.Manage the PM program : level load PMs, review PM effectiveness, develop PM strategy, adjust PM frequencies.Compile weekly compliance schedules and identify recurring maintenance issues.Liaise with third‑party contractors, coordinate work and issue purchase orders.Maintain records in accordance with the Records Program.Use SAP to assign, complete, and close out PMs and work orders.Comply with Quality, Food Safety, GMP, and HACCP requirements.Track Maintenance KPIs and seek performance improvement.Develop short‑term and long‑term equipment overhauls, rebuilds, and projects.Develop PM programs using TPM methodologies and maintain relevant PM plans.Work closely with parts and purchasing to ensure timely delivery of key parts.Identify equipment name, model, serial number, part number.Read and interpret mechanical / electrical schematics.Communicate with equipment manufacturer, vendor, and suppliers to plan work.Ensure all paperwork is completed and legible.All other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Mechanical Engineering preferred) or equivalent.2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Planner.Strong mechanical, electrical, and analytical skills.Strong relationship builder who can influence cross‑functionally.Trade ticket with technical background (asset).Advanced SAP knowledge.About Us
