POSITION SCOPE :

Apollo Health and Beauty Care is looking for an experienced Packaging Specialist to join our Product Development Team. As part of our team, you will collaborate cross-functionally across internal teams of R&D, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Sales, and external stakeholders / vendors / partners to ensure effective and efficient development and function of all packaging related needs are met.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES :

• Packaging Sourcing : Conduct feasibility assessments of new packages as they relate to functionality, quality, cost, timing, manufacturability and productivity.
• Packaging Testing : Create and follow test methods and SOPs related to packaging development and provide technical support to suppliers.

Create and verify detailed packaging specifications, material compatibility and dispensing characteristics.

• Packaging Design & Artwork : Collaborate with designers and suppliers to design all labels and boxes to capture customer’s expectations and various regulatory requirements of the international territories we are distributed in.
• Project Management : Develop a detailed critical path for ongoing projects, defining the scope and timeline and assigning team members to specific tasks.

Coordinate internal resources and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

Production Support : Support Engineering & Production teams to execute new product launches and provide on-site support during new product launches to floor personnel.

Work with appropriate internal stakeholders to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction actions and / or to address potential risks and resolve non-conformities when identified.

Vendor Management : Maintain relationships with current vendors and source and develop relationships with potential new vendors.

Audit / Review co-packers and suppliers, evaluate vendor performance and drive necessary corrective actions to ensure deliverables will be met.

JOB SPECIFICATION

• College / University degree specializing in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering / Technologists, Package Design, or a similar discipline.
• 3 5 years consumer packaged goods experience with a proven history of taking new products to market
• Computer knowledge and skills MS project, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience with regulations and GMP requirements
• High level of organizational skills, including attention to details, ability to multi-task and capable of managing projects simultaneously
